Well 3rd party chat clients do stop booting but there is a few settings you should change to make sure your 100% secure and these are as follows.

First thing we do is turn PM'S OFF to do this in yahelite click on Options and select Private Messages and make sure you have the settings in there as follows:

• Ignore PM's with URLS from none friends - should be checked
• Popup a PM box on incoming PM's - should be un-checked
• Always accept pm's from friends - should be un-checked
• Restrict pm's to friends only - should be checked
• Accept pm's from self - should be un-checked
• Quick launch pm's - should be un-checked
• Pm's take focus - should be un-checked
• Put all none rejected pm's in the reject bar - should be unchecked

TIP: If you wish to be able to send and receive PM's then use your main name in Yahoo! Messenger and another name for chatting with YahElite that way you can just give out your messenger name when you want to pm someone.
