To Uninstall Yahoo! Messenger the correct way do the following:

• Click on Start button then Control Panel.
• Double Click Add or Remove Programs (if using vista click on uninstall a program or if using classic view click programs and features)
• Find Yahoo! Messenger in the list and click Change/Remove
• Check Custom Click Next.
• Click Select all and Click Next.
• Click Select All and Click Next (again).
• Click Select All and Click Next (another 3 times).
• Click Select All and Click Next (2).
• Click Select All and Click Next (1).
• Click Select All and Click Next (ok last one).
• Click Finish
• Browse to C:/Program Files/ and see if there a Yahoo folder if so right click and delete it.
