Don't panic stay calm the latest version of messenger changes the sounds to quiet ones if you ask me to quiet i like the old ones better if you feel the same way then download them and replace the new ones with the old ones you can download the old sounds from http://www.helpbytes.co.uk/owavs.zip simply unzip them to the media folder inside the messenger folder exact path C:\Program Files\Yahoo!\Messenger\Media
