Most 3rd Party Chat Clients now use Avatars and Tattoos these make chat a bit more fun and help us spot who people are all about standing out from the other users but there much confusion on the rights of them so here a little information! Avatars Rights People tend to think because they have uploaded a avatar that is belongs to them and that only they should be able to use it well I'm afraid that is wrong and soon as you upload a avatar you are agreeing that the avatar can now be seen and used by everyone! People who create there own avatars from scratch can claim that the avatars is there but the matter of fact remains when they upload it they all ready agreed that it can now be used by everyone even if it was someone else who uploaded it you passed it out to people giving them permission to do as they please with it! Avatars that are created and uploaded are not copyrighted by anyone this is why you cant tell people they can't use it however people do sometimes submit images from the web that are copyrighted but unless your the person who has the copyright to the image you cannot get it removed nor can you tell people not to use it! Tattoo Rights People also tend to think others should not use the tattoo there using this is also wrong because tattoos are nothing more than fonts which comes with windows which means everyone has the right to use any tattoo that they wish! Now you know the rights don't make anyone force you to stop using a avatar or tattoo that you wish to use but i will say this Avatars and Tattoos are suppose to separate you from others in the same room your in but how can they do that if you use the same ones as someone else in the room! |
